****BARN BUILD FOR A VETERAN******


BARN RAISING FOR A WOUNDED VET

We need volunteers to help build a barn for MSgt Michael Trost, who was wounded in Iraq in the service of our country. Mike has had 28 surgeries to repair his broken limbs and wounds, and he is still having serious health issues. Shot 5 times, he’s lucky to be alive! Flyer is attached for more info.

So we veterans are going to pitch in and build him a barn!!!

WHEN:  Saturday, October 18th

WHAT TIME: 8:00 AM until ???

WHERE:  466 Long Hollow Road, Maryville, TN

WHAT TO BRING: Nail apron, hand tools, power tools; whatever you feel comfortable bringing and using.

ESPECIALLY NEEDED: Air compressors, construction nail guns, extension cords.

Coffee & breakfast snacks will be provided.
Lunch will also be provided.

******RUN FOR VETERANS MENS UT BASKETBALL COACH***************

PRESENTED BY THE TYNDALL FAMILY FOUNDATION TO BENEFIT HONORAIR KNOXVILLE AND THE EAST TENNESSEE VETERANS MEMORIAL

Please join UT Men’s Basketball Coach Donnie Tyndall on his Race for Vets.  Registration begins at 7:30am on Saturday, September 27th at the East TN Veterans Memorial at the north end of World's Fair Park. Cost is $20 per runner and everyone will receive a commemorative t-shirt and water bottle. The run will finish at Gate 10 of Thompson Boling Arena where the awards ceremony will take place, beginning at approximately 10:30am.

Free parking is available near the start line, or runners and participants may choose to park at the finish line and take complimentary shuttles to registration and start line.
