Subject: Strathclyde MUFC Twitter Data Set

The Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing group at the
University of Strathclyde has made available some Twitter data at
http://www.mathstat.strath.ac.uk/outreach/twitter/mufc/index.php

This consists of 300,000 time-stamped interactions (directed edges)
concerning 12 hours of activity around Manchester United Football Club.

We hope the data will be of interest to colleagues in matrix
computation, network science and tensor algorithms.

Data was purchased using the University of Strathclyde’s
EPSRC-funded “Developing Leaders” programme.

Data was collected, curated and supplied by Bloom Agency, Leeds, UK
and is provided under a Creative Commons licence.

Subject: ICCP9, Computational Physics, Singapore, Jan 2015

The 9th International Conference on Computational Physics (ICCP9) will
be held at the National University of Singapore, Singapore during
7--11 January, 2015. The conference is jointly organized by the
Department of Physics and Department of Mathematics, National
University of Singapore, and the Institute of Advanced Studies,
Nanyang Technological University.

ICCP9 is the 9th conference in the series. It aims to provide a
platform for computational physicists, mathematicians, materials
scientists and engineers to share their recent developments in
frontiers of theory and numerical methods as well as applications in
computational physics and exchange ideas.

The conference will consist of plenary lectures, mini-symposia with
invited and contributed oral presentations, and poster sessions. All
researchers in computational physics, computational mathematics,
computational science and applications or related disciplines are
cordially invited to attend this conference.

Anyone who is interested in organizing a mini-symposium can submit a
proposal to the conference chairs for consideration. The proposal
should include a title, duration (minimum half day), tentative
speakers (one keynote speaker for each half day session, and a good
mix of invited, contributed oral and poster presentations), and
estimated number of participants.

All are welcome to attend ICCP9 and see you in Singapore in
January 2015.
