The 41st Annual Meeting of SEASECS will take place from Thursday, February 26 through Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Hilton-University of Florida Conference center in Gainesville, FL. The conference theme is Sentimentality and Seduction: Love in the Eighteenth Century.
The conference center is located on the southwest corner of the University of Florida campus just across from the Harn Museum of Art and the Florida Museum of Natural History as well as the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Florida’s first city, historic Saint Augustine, is an easy daytrip from Gainesville.
SEASECS is an interdisciplinary organization and welcomes paper proposals on literature, history, music, philosophy, the arts, languages, and any other area of interest, including pedagogy and technology related to the eighteenth century. Plenary Speakers will include Peter Sabor and Mary Sheriff.
