Dear All:
If you are interested in these Fulbright programs in Taiwan and have questions about geography programs in Taiwan, please feel free to contact me and I would be glad to help you connect with some universities in Taiwan. For your information, I received my B.S. degree in geography from National Taiwan University.
Cheers,
Shih-Lung

Hi everyone,
I received this email about grants available to pursue a Master's Degree in Korea or Taiwan through the Fulbright US Student Program. Information about the Korea programs are here:
https://us.fulbrightonline.org/countries/selectedcountry/south-korea
For Taiwan:
https://us.fulbrightonline.org/countries/selectedcountry/taiwan
Other Asian countries don't seem to have this type of grant.
I thought I would send this to you, rather than to students directly, beause you might have some idea of who is most suited to this type of grant, and of course these students don't need to be Asian studies majors.
Suzanne

Hello Dr. Wright,
My name is Rebecca Harman, a graduate student with the Office of National Scholarships and Fellowships. I am writing to bring two interesting and undersubscribed Fulbright US Student Program opportunities to your attention given your involvement in the Asian Studies Program.
Fully-funded, two-year master's degrees are available to Korea and Taiwan. Ten awards will be offered to Korea and 5 to Taiwan. Complete program and application information can be found in the country summaries on the Fulbright website ( https://us.fulbrightonline.org/about/fulbright-us-student-program ).
If you would be so kind, please pass this opportunity along to your students. The deadline for the Fulbright is October 14th with a campus deadline of August 14th so there is still time to apply for the 2015-16 program.
If you or your students have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly or [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. The Fulbright program manager for the East Asia/Pacific, Jonathan Akeley, can also be reached [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
Thank you for your time.
Kind regards,
Rebecca Mattingly Harman
