Dear all,
Dr. Stephenson, who is teaching Math 497 this semester, asked me to let you know that he will have an invited speaker in his class tomorrow, and all of you are welcome to attend.
Math 497 meets in Ayres 112 at 3:40 tomorrow (Tuesday).
The speaker Adil Mughal is a math physicist from Wales. He will talk about packing spheres inside cylinders and also about the geometry that electrons form as they try to repel one another in a confined region. There will be lots of images, and the talk should be very accessible without any background.
I hope you can attend! Also, don’t forget about the JC this Thursday, which will be on another exciting topic: 3D printing
