THE EAST TENNESSEE CHAPTER OF THE SOCIETY FOR TECHNICAL
COMMUNICATION SEEKS SUBMISSIONS FOR THE 2014 BLAKELY AWARDS.
These awards honor student excellence in technical communications and
science journalism. Awards are given in both undergraduate and graduate
divisions in the categories of Technical Communication and Science
Journalism.
In order to eligible for a Blakely Award, candidates must meet the following
criteria:
• You must be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education in East
Tennessee, including universities, colleges, and community colleges.
• You must have a demonstrable interest in technical/professional
communication or science writing.
To enter, applicants must email their submissions—using PDFs, videos, or
audio files—to Dr. Russel Hirst at [log in to unmask], with the subject line Blakely
Award Entry. Deadline is noon on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Complete
