My fellow veterans,
Laura let me know that she has gotten about 20 veterans to fill out her survey and that is a great start! She probably needs about 200 total to have a good sample of our experiences, so if anyone else is thinking about it, but hasn't submitted one yet, check out the information below that I sent out before. This is an easy way we can pay it forward to future veterans and service members.
Thanks for your consideration,
Herb

Fellow veterans,
A part of being an advocate for us is the need to gather data about relevant areas of being a veteran. In this study Laura is looking at data she hopes will help with treatment of veterans in the future.
Please consider participating in this research survey regarding veterans. Laura hopes that her research will lead to better knowledge about veterans' experiences and as a result, better treatments in the future. Additionally, she is offering a chance to win a $50 gift certificate!

Attention Military Veterans
A research study examining veterans’ experiences with military service and reactions to these experiences is being conducted by Laura Blackburn, B.S., doctoral student at University of Tennessee-Knoxville. The online survey assesses experiences with military service, current mental health symptoms, coping skills, and other thoughts related to your service experience. If you are an American military veteran who served between 1990 and the present, who is 18 years or older, you are eligible to participate.
The survey is anonymous and takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. As an incentive to participate, all participants will be given the chance to enter a raffle drawing for a $50 online gift certificate to Amazon.com awarded to 12 randomly selected participants.

"It may seem obvious and simple to you, because you have a unique set of experiences, knowledges, wisdoms and thought processes that nobody else in the entire world could possibly have. Tell them what you want to tell them, they might not have thought of it yet and you will appear as a genius for that historical knowledge of being you." ~Herb Piercy IV
