Greetings,
I apologize for the mail-bombs of jESSE mail this evening. A setting
was changed this evening which, unfortunately, could resolve in many
people being spammed. If you have problems from jesse mail, please have
your mail server administrators get in touch with me and I'll tell them
what I reluctantly had to do.
We have all seen the decline in higher education - more and more classes
are being taught by graduate students and contingent faculty rather than
tenured or tenure-track faculty. The same thing is happening in support
for information technology: rather than seasoned professionals who
understand the complexity of software, who are retiring, more support is
being offered by ... well to be polite, folks who don't understand the
complexity of software.
I have to clean up the blood from my fingers that I chewed on while
composing this msg in order to be polite.
I'm going back to working on my books.
