Subject: Special Issue, MPB, Integer Programming Under Uncertainty

The journal Mathematical Programming, Series B invites submissions of
papers to a special issue on integer programming under
uncertainty. Potential topics include, but are not restricted to,
novel exact and approximation algorithms for stochastic and robust
discrete optimization problems; sampling, scenario generation,
uncertainty description for these models; cutting planes and extended
formulations for uncertain integer programs; integer programming-based
approaches for chance constrained models; and stochastic combinatorial
optimization under uncertainty. Also of interest are mathematical
programming innovations that allow the practical solution of
applications of integer programming under uncertainty in areas such as
logistics, energy systems, supply chain management, finance, medicine,
and engineering design.

Authors should submit their papers via
http://www.editorialmanager.com/mapr/ and select article type "S.I.:
Int Prog Uncert - Series B" for consideration in this special issue.

Deadline for submission of full papers: January 31, 2014. We aim at
completing a first review of all submissions by June 15, 2014.

Subject: IMA MIMAR, UK, Jul 2014

The 8th IMA International Conference on Modelling in Industrial
Maintenance and Reliability (MIMAR) will take place in Oxford, UK
from 13-15 July, 2014. This event is the premier maintenance and
reliability modelling conference in the UK and builds upon a very
successful series of previous conferences. It is an excellent
international forum for disseminating information on the state-of-
the-art research, theories and practices in maintenance and
reliability modelling and offers a platform for connecting
researchers and practitioners from around the world.

Subject: Optim and Inv Problems in Electromag, The Netherlands, Sep 2014

We would like to announce that the 2014 edition of the
International Workshop on 'Optimization and Inverse Problems in
Electromagnetism' (OIPE) series will be held in the historical city
of Delft, The Netherlands, on September 10th-12th, 2014.

The aim of this workshop is to inform and to exchange ideas on
recent developments in optimization and inverse problems in
computational electromagnetic fields. Emphasis lies on design and
optimization of electromagnetic devices such as machines,
transformers, actuators and measurement equipment used in various
applications. The workshop offers a forum for engineers,
mathematicians and physicists to meet and to discuss theoretical
aspects, methodologies and industrial research activities in
electromagnetism.

Plenary speakers are Ruth Sabriego (KU Leuven) and Mathias Stolpe
(DTU).

Contributions in the form of talks or posters are very welcome with
the deadline of May, 30th 2014.

For further details, in particular on the registration process and
abstract submission, we would like to refer to the webpage:
