Job opening for application administrator in Strategic Systems at UTC:
This position installs, maintains, and troubleshoots strategic enterprise software solutions such as Banner Student, Financial Aid, and Student Accounts, and other associated applications from several different vendors. Responsibilities include: Administering application software, databases, and application servers; providing technical guidance to assist the programming team with complex programming tasks; troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving database related or software related issues for the administrative software systems. Position supports programming, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, documentation, security procedures, disaster recovery, database administration, software installation and updates, and functional offices for Banner and related information system, subsystems, and databases in a high quality, confidential information environment. Position works with a cross-functional IT team and business team of users of Banner and related systems to conduct the work needed for the successful operation and improvement of these critical enterprise systems.

Strategic Systems delivers middle-tier technologies (database, software, app servers, integration) in support of critical campus applications, such as Banner, Degree Works, the campus website with Omniupdate, blog solutions with Word Press, EMS solutions for room scheduling, event calendaring, and Continuing Education registration. We also provide consulting on solution development, project management, integration, architecture, and troubleshooting.
