--- UT has made two important changes in its waitlist policy, starting this fall:
* If you already are registered for a course, you cannot put yourself on a waitlist for a different section of that course.
* You cannot place yourself on a waitlist for more than one section of the same course.

--- UT Cinema Club will be showing the Sergio Leone classic western "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" starring Clint Eastwood at 7 p.m. tonight in Art and Architecture room 111. This event is free and open to everyone.

--- The Women's Coordinating Council presents Week 2 of Women's HERstory Month: Health and Fitness. The week will begin with a screening of the awarding-winning movie "Girl, Interrupted" on Tuesday, March 5 at 6:00 p.m. in Hodges Room 253. The film will be followed by a discussion about mental health and wellness. --- Want to spend the night in Thompson-Boling Arena, enjoy a 90's cover band, eat great food, tour the locker rooms, win raffles, and watch "Like Mike" on the jumbotron? Come to Campout at the Summitt, Friday, March 8. UNITE and Men's Athletics will be hosting the fourth annual all-night camp-out for the Tennessee vs. Missouri basketball game. The first 500 students will be allowed to enter the arena at 9 p.m. This event is free, plus all who attend will receive early entrance to Saturday's Mizzou basketball game. --- The Indian American Association presents their fourth annual "Raang Se Nachle Holi" Show at 6 p.m. on March 9 in Alumni Memorial Hall. This show is filled with all different types and styles of Indian dancing. Teams from all over the Southeast come to compete for a grand prize. --- Next week is Gamma Sigma Sigma Week, and they will spend it promoting one of their favorite things: service. They will be on the Pedestrian Walkway each day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. talking about their five big Project IMPACT areas. Monday they will be selling baked goods, Wednesday collecting donations and hosting a percentage night at Moe's from 5 to close, another baked goods sale on Thursday, and Alex's lemonade stand on Friday. --- Volapalooza will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 26, in Thompson-Boling Arena. The headliner is Grammy-nominated artist Tyga, with special guests Beats Antique and DJ Mike Nasty. For UT students, faculty, and staff, tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show. For the general public, tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the show. --- The "End the r-Word" event will take place on Wednesday, March 6, to gather signatures from students and faculty to raise awareness of the hurtful and demeaning use of the word "retarded" and to promote the inclusion and acceptance of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. --- Interested for a way a get involved, meet new people, and have fun? Become a member of Campus Entertainment Board (CEB). This organization provides UT students with social, recreational and diverse programs in order to promote a sense of community among the student body. --- The campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity will be bringing 15 UT students to participate in a Collegiate Challenge over Spring Break, Friday March 22 through Friday March 29, in Lakeland, Florida. Collegiate Challenge gives college students an opportunity to partner with a Habitat affiliate in another city, building houses for a week. No prior experience with builds or Habitat is necessary. The cost for room and board for the week is $155 plus gas and food. There are 5 spots remaining, and no previous participation is necessary to go on this trip. Questions? E-mail [log in to unmask]

--- The Dean of Students office is accepting applications for scholarships for undergraduate students based on campus leadership and campus and community service.  Students may apply for these scholarships themselves or may be recommended by another member of the community. The application deadline is Friday, March 8. --- The summer school timetable is now available. Priority registration is underway. Seniors can begin registering tomorrow, juniors on March 7, sophomores on March 12, and freshmen on March 14. Ready for the World Events

--- The campus community is invited to a screening of "Kunta Kinteh Island" today, March 4, at the Clarence Brown Theatre. The documentary chronicles the renaming of James Island—a holding cell for slaves in The Gambia during the transatlantic slave trade—to Kunta Kinteh Island after a young African who was transported to the United States. The reception begins at 7:00 p.m., followed by the 8:00 p.m. screening. --- The International House invites you to the last World Showcase series this semester - Caribbean Week. It will highlight cultures from Jamaica and from Trinidad and Tobago. The Caribbean cooking demonstration is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, and will teach you step by step how to cook Tomato choka (Trinidadian dish), Festival (Jamaican bread), and Tamarind balls (Trinidadian candy). The Caribbean Coffee House will include a steel drum music workshop and kite making from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6. Both events are free. Caribbean Culture Night is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 7. Tickets are $5.
