Subject: Virtual open house: Kent State SLIS online MLIS
Earn your master's degree without disrupting your life, without leaving
your current job and relocating, and without physically sitting in a
classroom.
The School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at Kent State
University is offering a new, innovative way to complete a Master of
Library and Information Science (M.L.I.S.) degree: eDegree.
The eDegree option is Web-based -- all courses will be completed online.
And you can specialize in more than a dozen different areas of library and
information science, including youth librarianship, museum studies,
academic librarianship, cataloging/metadata, digital preservation, and
more.
Join us for a live, interactive online open house on Thursday, Nov. 15, at
noon to learn more about the eDegree option. SLIS Associate Professor Greg
Byerly, Ph.D., will briefly describe the program and then answer your
questions. You'll also hear from current eDegree student Tina Lewis, who
is specializing in K-12 school library media services.
This webinar is free, but advance registration is required. Click here to
register: http://bit.ly/eDegree-15Nov2012. You will receive a link to the
webinar the day before the event.

(Note: If you do not already have Silverlight on your computer, you may
need to download it in order to view the presentation. It's free at

All the best,
Flo
