Essential functions:
Manages a dynamic electronic resource collection approaching $500,000 in annual fees. Provides support for and participates in the continuing evaluation and selection of resources by TTU librarians and faculty. Identifies and maintains working relationships with publishers, vendors and consortia for acquisition, licensing, and maintaining ongoing access to electronic resources. Works with the TTU Purchasing Department to remain in compliance with state
laws and regulations. Maintains purchasing and descriptive data on TTU's electronic resource collection. Provides timely acquisition and renewal of licenses. Maintains resources through an electronic resource management system (ERMS). Maintains current awareness of emerging trends and best practices in electronic resource management. Maintains online access to electronic resources, in collaboration with the library's Website manager. Serves as technical contact for electronic resource providers and University Information Technology Services. Resolves access problems and supports disaster recovery for all electronic resources. Collects and analyzes subscription format and usage data for assessment and reports. Collects and analyzes cost data for assessment and reports. Other responsibilities may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an ALA-accredited library school
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years as an electronic resource manager; experience in an academic library, proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work with vendors and publishers. Capacity to respond effectively to change, including changing technologies, needs, and priorities. Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience; to be filled at the assistant or associate professor level. Twelve month, tenure-track appointment.
