Dear Fellow Science Heads,
A team of graduate fellows from the NIH-sponsored Program for Excellence
and Equity (PEER) on the UTK campus have organized a second annual
symposium for students in STEM disciplines. The date is Thursday March
29, 2012, and the theme for the symposium is "Networking for Success."
The events for the day include a keynote speaker, panels and breakout
sessions dealing with various aspects of this theme, a poster session
featuring PEER graduate student research, and a resource and information
session that highlights resources for STEM students across campus and
beyond.
The web site and registration information can be found at:

Another highlight is a screening of "The PhD Movie" on the evening of
March 28th prior to the symposium. Flyers with details about the movie
screening and symposium activities are attached. Please distribute these
to your graduate students and undergraduate majors and post them in your
department.
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
