GK Members,

Hope you all had a wonderful break and made it safely back to Knoxville. As
you are getting adjusted to the new semester, I want to bring your attention
to a few important updates for this semester.

1. Our regional summit is coming up on the weekend of February 11th and
12th. This year the regional summit will be held in Orlando, FL (Yes, we are
going to Florida!). More information can be found through the following link,

We want you to know that all expenses for this trip will be paid by Golden
Key, and the registration is open to all GK members. However, the deadline
for registration is this Friday, January 13th. I apologize for the short
notice, but we need to figure out who are going to the summit soon in order
for us to register you in time. If you are interested in going to the
regional summit with us please let me know by NO LATER THAN this Thursday,
Jan 12th.


2. Due to her other academic commitment and time conflict, Mabre Brand has
to step down from her position as secretary. I want to use this as a chance
to commend her for the great job she has done for us. She will still be with
us as a GK member, but we must fill the secretary position. If you are
interested in becoming the secretary for our chapter, please let me know.


3. We will resume our monthly meeting this semester. The first meeting will
be held on Thursday, January 26th, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Black Cultural
Center Conference Room 216.
