--- Is it okay to use your cell phone during a campus emergency? Should you put a fire out with an extinguisher or just pull the alarm? When should you evacuate your building? Is it really just safer in certain situations to "shelter in place?"

UT's new emergency management training will answer these and many other important questions about how to react in serious situations and full-scale emergencies. Students who complete the online training will receive a Starbuck's discount coupon from UT Dining.

To access the training, go the Blackboard home page at http://blackboard.utk.edu and log in using your NetID and password. Click on the Emergency Preparedness tab and follow the instructions.

First time users may experience difficulty connecting, but can be fixed quickly by contacting the Blackboard help desk at 974-9900. If you have questions about the awareness training, call 974-3061.
