---------- Forwarded message ----------
I want to invite you to attend the International Association for
Intelligence Education (IAFIE) annual conference on intelligence analysis which will be held in Wash., D.C. - June 6-9th, 2011. www.iafie.org
Pre-conference workshops are available covering: how to teach critical
thinking,
understanding & teaching threat finance) and different panel sessions
(denial & deception in online environment, current research trends in intelligence education). Presenters are from U.S, Sweden, Australia, Spain, and Canada.
The conference will answer questions such as the following:
What do intelligence analysts (IA) do? How can I participate in a red cell exercise* about the use of social media in the Middle East uprisings? What are the current issues in intelligence analysis in the U.S. and overseas? How can I identify recent books about these issues and meet the authors? Are these authors available to speak at my institution? What is a model curriculum in intelligence education?
I hope you consider sending a representative to the conference. The pre-conference workshops, panel sessions, research presentations may be invaluable to your current educational program.
*red cell exercise is an analytical technique in which participants act as if they are the bad guys and try to describe how they think bad guys would respond.
