Check out UT's new FUTURE program!
The University of Tennessee FUTURE Postsecondary Education Program is designed as a 2-year nonresidential program culminating in a University of Tennessee FUTURE Program Vocational Certificate and job placement. The program will provide individualized academic, social, vocational, and independent living skills to students ages 18-29 with intellectual disabilities and autism in eastern Tennessee who completed high school without earning a regular high school diploma. The goal of the FUTURE Program is to empower students to achieve gainful employment within the community. Educational Mentors may volunteer to be lunch buddies, workout buddies, academic coaches, etc. Educational Mentors will be asked to work with FUTURE students at least 2 hours a week.
