Dear Math Honors Students,
First, congratulations to our graduating seniors. As has happened for the
past 6 years, 100% of those math honors seniors who applied for a graduate
assistantship in math received at least one offer (including full tuition
plus a salary).
Non-seniors: If you have not met with me for advising this semester, then
contact me ASAP to set up an appointment. If you haven't already done so,
you should have your last mentor meeting for this semester and give the
talk/mentoring sheet to Tina Murr to put in your file. Almost all of you
have been taking care of these responsibilities, but beginning with next
year (with our tight remaining budget), each semester a portion of
scholarships from the NSF will be considered as "good citizenship" and
awarded to those who are attending talks and mentoring sessions as
required by the conditions of the scholarship. Therefore it is essential
that the form is in your file when I check requirements after final grades
are submitted. Let me know if you have any questions, let me know.
