Students,
If you have had a Professor or instructor whose class was particularly
inspirational, or who took a few extra steps to help you succeed, please
consider nominating your instructor for a Chancellor's Teaching Award.
The nomination process is short and simple: just fill out the attached pdf
form and e-mail it (or put it in campus mail) to Dr. Lloyd M. Rinehart,
Chair of the Teaching/Learning Council, at [log in to unmask] The forms
are due next Tuesday, Nov. 22.
All instructors (tenure-line, Lecturers, full-time or part-time) are
eligible.
The nomination form asks for your instructor's e-mail address. If you are
nominating a math instructor, you can find his or her e-mail address on
the webpage http://www.math.utk.edu/People/. All e-mail addresses on this
page end with @math.utk.edu, unless otherwise noted.
Thank you,
-Mike Frazier
Math Department Head

To the University Community:
Teaching performance is a critically important component
of our university community. To that end, the Chancellor
is seeking nominations of outstanding teachers for
consideration of the "Chancellor's Teaching Awards."
Nominations should be for those who demonstrate the ability
to communicate knowledge that significantly separates their
skills in knowledge dissemination from all other teachers
on the campus. We encourage you to nominate an individual
who has excelled in these responsibilities over the past
three years.
In order to do this, simply complete the attached PDF form
and e-mail it to Dr. Lloyd M. Rinehart, Chair of the Teaching/
Learning Council at [log in to unmask] by November 22, 2010.
Thank you for your time in helping the Teaching/Learning
Council pursue the opportunity to recognize excellence in
teaching performance.
Respectfully,
Lloyd M. Rinehart, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Marketing and Logistics
Chair, Teaching / Learning Council
This e-mail list is intended for those who have an interest in mathematics at the University of Tennessee. All current UT math majors and minors should be on this list in order not to miss important announcements. To add or remove yourself from the list, visit listserv.utk.edu.
