Greetings!
Memphis City Schools Teach Memphis application for the 2011-12 school year
has launched, and we're looking for the best and brightest new teacher
candidates to help MCS close the achievement gap.
We seek candidates who are certified or would be eligible for a
transitional license (they have a degree in the core subject area or
completed 24 college credit hours in a core subject, or passed the Praxis
II Content Knowledge test in their subject area. Please take a few minutes
to forward this email to potential candidates. More than 25% of our
applications come directly from referrals by staff, friends, family and
colleagues (like you!) spreading the word. Candidates can apply at
www.teachmemphis.org
We have a limited number of mid-year vacancies available in the district
immediately. Applicants can indicate their interest in mid-year vacancies
when they apply.
We hope to reach out and cultivate your school's December graduates,
providing them with any additional information they would need to start
the application process for current vacancies. If possible, please let us
know if you have available rosters of your December graduates. We would
love to help make their application process as smooth as possible.
Thank you for your support of Memphis City Schools and Teach Memphis.
Sincerely,
Memphis City Schools
