Panelists Carole R. Myers and Beth Uselton will provide an overview of the
recently-passed national health care reform law; outline key provisions of the
reform law, and the implementation timeline. Panelists will also discuss what the
health care law reform means for those with employer-based coverage,
Medicaid, and Medicare; uninsured individuals; and small businesses.

Bios:
Dr. Michael R. Caudle, M.D. is a Senior Fellow and Director of the Health Policy
Program at the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy. He has a
background in rural medical practice as well as academic medicine.
Dr. Carole R. Myers is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at
Knoxville and a Fellow for Health Policy at the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for
Public Policy.
Beth Uselton is the Lead Organizer for the Tennessee Health Care Campaign, a
nonpartisan, non-profit statewide consumer advocacy organization focused on
health care policy on both the state and national level.
Leslie Muse, JD, MPH, is an attorney for the firm of Butler, Vines and Babb. She
is President-Elect of the Tennessee Association of Justice and is on the
Executive Committee of the East Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women.
Carlos A. Yunsan, MS-MPH is a first year student at the College of Law and a
graduate assistant with the Center for Public Health. He previously served as
Health Promotion Director for the East Region, Tennessee Department of Health
and as Together! Healthy Knox Coordinator for the Knox County Health
Department.
