Dear colleagues representing LIS and other information-related graduate programs,
We are very excited to invite you to participate in a minority recruitment information session for potential master's and doctoral students, held in tandem with the 2010 ALA Annual Conference in D.C., co-sponsored by the University of Washington Information School and Howard University Library.
Date: Saturday, June 26, 2010
Time: 2-3:30pm
Location: Browsing Room, Founders Library, Howard University
Cultivating a diverse workforce is of great importance and this event will provide prospective students an opportunity to obtain information and talk to representatives from a wide variety of schools about LIS and other information-related graduate (master's and doctoral) degrees.
We urge you to use this opportunity to share information about your school's master's and doctoral programs!
Participation
We would like you to be a part of this unique national recruitment event by:
* Promoting the information session to all potential graduate students throughout whatever means available to you.
* Staffing a table during the event to answer questions about your graduate program(s). (The UW iSchool table will be staffed by a faculty member, doctoral students, and director of graduate minority recruitment).
* Bringing any fliers/info you wish to share with potential students.
