iSchool alum and ipl2's Reference Services Manager Alison Miller, MS(LIS) '08, has been named one of Library Journal's 2010 Movers and Shakers in the Innovators category. Miller was chosen for her leadership both at the ipl2 and for her work on the My Info Quest project, a text-message based reference program. An admitted tech gadget addict, according to her Library Journal interview, Miller had significant involvement in last year's Handheld Librarian online conference, and gave a keynote speech at the Handheld Library 2 virtual conference in February 2010. She is currently working toward her doctorate at Syracuse University.
