* Bard College announces a new REU program in mathematics and
computation. Projects are available in discrete geometry, coding theory,
computational neuroscience, and mathematical ecology. The program is for
8 weeks starting on June 1, 2010. Review of applications will begin
April 1st, 2010.

We welcome applications from both current sophomores and juniors,
including students who have decided to major in mathematics as late as
their junior year and students who are undecided about a career in
mathematics. Applicants must not yet have graduated with an
undergraduate degree at the time of the REU. Women and members of
underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

residents.
