Are you interested in obtaining a doctorate from one of the most dynamic and innovative information schools in the U.S.? Representatives from the iSchool at the University of Washington will be at ALA Midwinter in Boston to meet with potential applicants at a Happy Hour meet and greet. Faculty, alumni, and current doctoral students in LIS will be on hand to talk about opportunities for PhD studies, library leadership, and any other questions you might have about pursuing a doctoral degree in LIS.
Four of our current doctoral students are highly-qualified minority librarians supported by an Institute of Museum and Library Studies (IMLS) grant. This grant also supports an enhancement of the LIS doctoral student experience through the development of an intensive mentoring model. Find out about how you might participate in the development of this exciting model at the iSchool!
The University of Washington iSchool guarantees four years of funding for all admitted students who request it.
