King College
King College, a private, comprehensive college founded in the
Presbyterian
tradition, is inviting applications for an Outreach Services Librarian.
Full-time faculty position at rank of instructor or asst. professor.
Primary duties include providing off-campus library services to King
College
students, faculty, and staff at extended campus sites; Incorporating
technology with traditional library resources and service philosophy to
support library services for off-campus programs; Coordinating,
publicizing
and assessing off-campus library services especially to graduate and
professional students; Serves as liaison to assigned academic
departments
for collection development.
ALA-accredited master's degree in library and/or information science is
required and three years of professional experience and subject
background
in health sciences or natural sciences preferred. The successful
candidate
will have knowledge of a wide range of print and electronic information
resources, demonstrated teaching experience; experience with course
management systems, web page development, and other instructional
technology
software; ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team-based
environment as well as juggle multiple priorities in a busy,
time-sensitive
environment. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
