Professional Librarian
The St. Louis County Library District is currently seeking qualified
applicants to fill professional librarian positions in anticipation of
managerial openings in branch public service. The selected candidates will
schedule staff and monitor attendance, oversee branch operations, building,
and grounds maintenance, supervise and participate in public service
activities including circulation and reference services, participate in
program planning and collection development, and hire, train, and evaluate
staff. Salary: $44,780-$50,000 DOQ.
The St. Louis County Library has twenty branches and seven hundred
employees. The library provides both traditional and non-traditional
services to a diverse community of more than 870,000 residents in suburban
St. Louis County and has a circulation of approximately 9 million.
A Master’s Degree in Library Science and supervisory experience are
