Catalog Librarian/Assistant Professor
Colorado State University - Pueblo Library seeks an enthusiastic and
knowledgeable Catalog Librarian to provide leadership in the development
and maintenance of its integrated library system (ILS) and institutional
repository. This 12 month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of
Instructor or Assistant Professor is responsible for ensuring that
print, audiovisual, and digital resources are properly inventoried,
organized, and cataloged; works with the University's IT Department to
coordinate the Library's integrated library system (ILS) and
institutional repository; and serves on the Library's Information
Management Team. The Catalog Librarian provides reference services
(including some nights and weekends), acts as liaison to various
academic departments, teaches library instruction classes, and serves on
university boards and committees. Required Qualifications: ALA
Accredited Master's degree in Library/Information Science. Preferred
Qualifications: 3 years' post-degree professional experience.
Experience in an academic library. Experience in original cataloging and
metadata creation. Experience coordinating an integrated library system.
Experience with institutional repository system. Knowledge regarding
innovations in cataloging. Reference and library instruction experience.
Excellent organizational and communication skills. Salary: $36,000 to
