SANTA BARBARA TRUST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION
PRESIDIO RESEARCH CENTER LIBRARIAN
The Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation seeks a librarian for
its newly renovated Presidio Research Center. The Librarian is
responsible for overall management of the Research Center, including
collection development, acquisitions, cataloging and public services.
The Research Center is open by appointment only, and collections are
non-circulating. Qualifications include: MLS from an ALA-accredited
college or university; experience in an academic, public, museum or
one-person library; experience with MARC cataloging, multiple formats
desired; familiarity with and interest in borderlands studies, history
of the American West or California history required; requires strong
oral, written, and organizational and interpersonal skills, along with
good computer skills; strong facility in Spanish desirable.
