Manager, Opening Day Collections
Ingram Library Services
Manage all aspects of Opening Day Collection (ODC) projects for library
customers. Key departmental functions include establishing services and
deliverables to ensure that Ingram Library Services is the premiere
provider of Opening Day Collections. Utilize strong communication skills
to conduct effective customer presentations, primarily at major trade
shows and conferences. Interact extensively with other Ingram departments
to ensure proper implementation of projects from account set-up to project
completion. Apply working knowledge of processing, cataloging,
operations, and transportation to identify and implement workflow
improvements for ODC projects, and to maintain competitiveness in
providing new or enhanced ODC products and services. Use MS Excel,
Access, Word, Power Point and Project for analysis, presentations, and
reporting.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 years Public Library experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters Degree in Library Science
• 1 year experience in wholesale book distribution business
• 2 years work experience utilizing MARC, LC, and Dewey
classification schemes
