UW-Eau Claire offers an exceptional living and learning community and has

Associate Professors in Mass Communication and Advertising. Record of
college-level teaching and/or work experience in mass
communication-advertising profession; potential to develop a record of
teaching excellence and high quality research in the discipline and
ability to assist in development of mass communication curriculum. Teach
Media Planning, Advertising Writing & Design, Campaigns or Fundamentals

accepted.Communication Sciences and Disorders: *Two Assistant or Associate
Professors in Speech-Language Pathology. Provide academic and clinical

Before 1800. Teach courses in American Literature prior to 1800. Position

Spanish Linguistics. Strong background in phonetics, experience in teaching

Assistant Professor and one Assistant or Associate Professor in

teach four of the following core areas: 1) history of education; 2)
philosophy of education; 3) legal foundations of education; 4)
social, cultural, human relations foundations of education; 5) educational
media and technology; and 6) educational leadership to include examination
of issues of ethnicity and race, social class, language, immigration,
globalization, disability, sexuality and other dimensions of diversity on
the context of education policy and practice. Teach undergraduate and
graduate courses including core courses serving program in the college.
Position 3: *Assistant or Associate Professor in Library Information
Science Media Technology Program. Experience working in k-12 schools,
education agencies or public libraries; demonstrated ability to teach core
courses including four of the following: cataloguing, collection
development, reference, administration, and media technology. Teach
undergraduate and graduate courses as assigned including core courses on
campus and online; supervise practicum experience. Priority date for all:
1/1/08.Geology: *Assistant Professor in Earth Science Education.
Demonstrated ability or potential to teach a laboratory and
field-intensive introductory earth science courses for education majors
and related courses, to work with the K-12 education community, and to
establish a strong program of scholarship in geology or science pedagogy;
ability to integrate regional Proterozoic and Phanerozoic sedimentology
and stratigraphy into teaching and scholarship beneficial. Teach
laboratory and field-intensive introductory earth science course for
grades 1-9 education major; assist to coordinate an undergraduate Earth
and Space Science geology major that leads to WI certification to teach
grades 6-12; participate in physical science teaching methods; develop
extramurally-funded workshops for in-service teachers; develop active
program of scholarship in science pedagogy or geology. Priority date:
1/15/08.Human Development Center, Director of, and Associate or Full
Professor in School Psychology. See Position 3 under
Psychology.Kinesiology and Intercollegiate Athletics: Dual appointment for
53% lecturer in Kinesiology and 47% Assistant Athletic Trainer in
Athletics. Earned master's required prior to start date in Athletic
Training or related curricular area; BOC certification and eligibility for
licensure in Wisconsin. Teach undergraduate courses in Kinesiology such as
athletic training courses, anatomy, first aid and cpr, wellness; supervise
athletic training students in the CAATE accredited Athletic Training
Education program; assist Head Athletic Trainer. Priority date: 1/18/08.

Development Center with concurrent tenured Associate or Full Professor in
School Psychology. Strong collaboration and communication skills and
capability to provide leadership to an interdisciplinary clinical/research
site; evidence of ability to teach graduate courses in school psychology;
qualifications and experience sufficient to be awarded tenure at time of
initial appointment. Director of HDC: administer a year-round,
interdisciplinary clinic that serves as a training site for undergraduate
and graduate students; oversees training and intervention activities
provided at the Lac du Flambeau American Indian community and
tutoring/mentoring programs in area schools and youth organizations.
Faculty position: teach courses and supervise practica/internships in
school psychology and provide academic advising to Ed.S.-School Psychology
graduate students. Priority date: 1/15/08.Social Work: *Two Assistant
Professors in Generalist Social Work Practice. Micro and/or macro practice
experience; area of concentration: Methods, Policy, Research, and
Internship; ability to teach core social work courses and other social
work courses such as child welfare, AODA, and ger-ontology. Priority date:
12/16/07.Special Education: Position 1: *Assistant or Associate Professor
with focus on Early Childhood Special Education. Minimum of 3 years
teaching experience with young children (birth to nine) with disabilities;
demonstrated commitment to teacher preparation; knowledge and skills
related to a low incidence disability; interest in or willingness to learn
to use distance education; evidence of successful university-level
instruction. Teach courses as assigned and coordinate the Early
ChildhoodSpecial Education Program. Priority date: 12/15/07. Position 2:
*Assistant Professor with focus on High Incidence Disabilities. Graduate
studies in special education or teaching certification in an area of
special education; minimum of 3 years of preK-12 teaching experience with
students with high-incidence disabilities; knowledge and skills in formal
and informal assessment, IEP's, and academic interventions for students
with mild disabilities; interest and expertise in inclusive practice;
successful experience using evidence-based instructional practices with
students at risk for academic failure including students with
disabilities; interest in or willingness to learn to use distance
