Electronic Resources Acquisitions Librarian -- University of California

Electronic Resources Acquisitions Librarian
The University of California, Irvine Libraries seek an enthusiastic and
skilled Electronic Resources Acquisitions Librarian to provide leadership
and expertise in acquiring and integrating electronic resources into the
Libraries' collections. The Electronic Resources Acquisitions Librarian is
responsible for the management of the life cycle processes for electronic
resources. Based in the Acquisitions Department, the Electronic Resources
Acquisitions Librarian also works collaboratively with staff in other
areas including collection development, reference, information technology,
and cataloging to identify, license, and manage ongoing access to
electronic resources. The Electronic Resources Acquisitions Librarian
reports directly to the Head of Acquisitions with a secondary reporting
relationship to the Head of the Collection Development Department.The
salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience; the
preferred appointment level is $40,008 - $58,536 (Assistant Librarian I -
Associate Librarian V). The UCI Libraries, comprising the Langson Library,
the Science Library, the Library Gateway Study Center, and the Grunigen
Medical Library, are committed to innovation and excellence and are in a
major period of growth and change. The library collection consists of over
2.6 million volumes and over 53,000 current serial titles and an
aggressively expanding electronic resources collection. The University of
California, Irvine, is nestled in over 1,500 acres of coastal foothills,
five miles from the Pacific Ocean, between San Diego and Los Angeles. UCI
is among the fastest-growing University of California campuses, with more
than 25,000 undergraduate and graduate students and about 1,400 faculty
members. Student enrollment is planned to reach 32,000 by 2014 accompanied
by a proportional growth in faculty and staff. Founded in 1965, UCI has had
