Multiple Full-Time, Tenure-Track Faculty Positions -- College of Lake
County -- Illinois
FACULTY POSITIONSFULL-TIME, TENURE TRACKThe College of Lake County is a
progressive two-year community college located in a growing metropolitan
area in northeastern Illinois, midway between Chicago and Milwaukee, with
a student enrollment of nearly 16,000. Dedicated to excellence in teaching
and learning, the College provides access to higher education, supports
outreach to the community, and ensures accountability and continuous
improvement. The College is committed to enhancing and responding to
diversity across the county. As a result, understanding varied learning
styles and distance learning are key elements within the institution.
Full-time tenure track positions are available in the following areas for
Fall 2007.TECHNICAL WRITING/ COMMUNICATIONS INSTRUCTOR (RE-OPENED)An
earned MA in Technical Communications or closely related field. MACHINE
TOOL TRADES, TOOL & MOLDMAKING, CNC PROGRAMMING AND OPERATIONS INSTRUCTOR
(RE-OPENED)Bachelor's degree along with some form of a 4-5 year
apprenticeship program, minimum 5 years of work experience in the trades
as a Tool & Die Maker or Precision Machinist, and a willingness to
complete a Master's degree. ENGLISH INSTRUCTOR (RE-OPENED)An earned MA in
English with substantial coursework in rhetoric and composition. REFERENCE
LIBRARIAN INSTRUCTOR (RE-OPENED)Master's degree in Library Science from an
ALA-accredited graduate school. INSTRUCTOR, ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING
TECHNOLOGY (NEW POSITION)Master's degree in electrical engineering,
electrical engineering technology, related engineering, or related
