Anticipated Faculty Positions 2007-2008 --  Kean University -- New Jersey
 
ANTICIPATED FACULTY POSITIONS 2007-2008Kean, a comprehensive university,
is committed to excellence and access and to developing, maintaining and
strengthening interactive ties with the community. Kean University takes
pride in its continuing efforts to build a multicultural professional
community to serve a richly diversified student population of over
13,000.FACULTY POSITIONS (10 Months)All open faculty positions are
full-time tenure-track or multi-year assignments, effective September 1,
2007 unless otherwise indicated. Rank is Assistant Professor unless
otherwise specified. Some positions may be full-time assignment to the
Ocean County College campus in Toms River, New Jersey as indicated. Others
may involve occasional assignments at Ocean County College campus or other
locations. All faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to
teaching excellence and an on-going program of research and publication or
creative and performance activity. Participation in curriculum development,
student advisement and service at the departmental, college and university
level is also expected. Interest or experience in using advanced
instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is
highly desirable. Minorities, women and individuals fluent in a second
language are encouraged to apply. COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND PUBLIC
ADMINISTRATIONDepartment of Accounting (2 positions - Assistant/Associate
Professor) - to teach graduate and undergraduate courses at Union campus
and/or Ocean County College campus with willingness to employ distance
education technology; to do outreach to the New Jersey Society of
Certified Public Accountants. Areas of specialization: for position (1)
auditing, auditing information systems and accounting information systems,
accounting theory and advanced accounting; for position (2) financial,
managerial and cost accounting; taxation including international taxation,
and tax research. For both positions Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB
accredited business school or university required, CPA preferred. Contact

positions - Assistant Professor) - to teach graduate and undergraduate
courses with teaching and research interests in criminal justice theories,

field; ABD considered with completion date by Fall 2007. Teaching
assignment and related responsibilities for one of the positions will be
at the Ocean County College campus in Toms River, NJ. The second position
will be primarily at the Kean Union County campus with the possibility of

Finance - Finance (Assistant/Associate Professor) - to teach graduate and
undergraduate courses in corporate finance, investments analysis and
portfolio management, international finance management, and management of
financial institutions. Ph.D. in Finance/Financial Economics required from
an AACSB accredited university. 1-2 years of teaching preferred. Contact

develop a Master's program in global supply chain management. Global
Strategic Management - focus on integrative business capstone course and

in Strategic Management preferred. Supply Chain Management - focus on
operations management courses and future offerings in project management,
quality management, and supply chain management. Ph.D. required, in
Operations Management preferred. ABD considered with completion date by

Must possess a research track record and demonstrated research agenda in

literature and culture. Ph.D. in Spanish required.Italian (full-time) - to
teach language and culture courses and methodology courses; to participate
in developing a minor in Italian. Ph.D. in Italian required.Portuguese
(half-time non-tenure track) - to teach language and culture courses; to
participate in developing a minor in Portuguese. M.A. in Portuguese
required, Ph.D. preferred; ABD considered. All positions require teaching

teaching and scholarly record essential, with short list candidates to
submit sample publications or manuscripts. This position will be based at

positions - Assistant/Associate Professor)School Psychology - 12 month
position; to teach graduate courses and guide curriculum development in
school psychology program. To serve as clinical director, head of a
Community Psychology Center (psychological clinic and training center). To
supervise student practicum and internship experiences in the clinic.
Required experience in administration of a psychological/mental health
clinic, school special services department or similar; senior
clinician/supervisor with school psychology, child clinical psychology, or
related experience; experience with clinical supervision child/adolescent
emphasis.Earned doctorate in School Psychology, Child Clinical Psychology,
or related professional psychology specialization required. New Jersey
licensed psychologist or license eligible. Preferred abilities include
administrative or managerial experience, knowledge of training standards
of APA and NASP, history of collaborative work with community agencies and
clinical sites. Marriage and Family Therapy - to teach graduate and
post-graduate courses in established specialist level marriage and family
therapy program. To help plan and develop new university-based
child/family oriented community psychology clinic. To supervise student
practicum and internship experiences. Earned doctorate in Marriage and
Family Therapy or related psychology specialization required. AAMFT
supervisor or candidate required. Licensed or license eligible marriage
and family therapist and/or psychologist in New Jersey required. Teaching

Biological Sciences (2 positions - Assistant Professor)Genetics - to teach
courses in introductory and molecular genetics to undergraduates. Other

specialty. Ph.D. in Genetics required; ABD considered with completion date
of Fall 2007. Experienced Plant Geneticists encouraged to apply. Human
