Campus Campaign Manager
Teach For America

Teach For America seeks students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds
and academic majors to apply for the position of Campus Campaign
Manager. The Campus Campaign Manager develops and executes a
campus-specific campaign for Teach For America's recruitment team. This
campaign will enable Teach For America to recruit talented and diverse
college seniors to apply to our program and raise Teach For America's
general visibility on campus.

About Us
Teach For America is building the movement to address the achievement
gap that exists between children growing up in low-income and
high-income areas by rallying our nation's most promising future leaders
to commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools. Since
1990, Teach For America has grown into a $38.5 million organization with
over 300 full-time staff members and 3,500 corps members teaching in 22
urban and rural regions across the country. Our 10,000 alumni are
starting schools and nonprofit organizations, advising lawmakers on
policy and social issues, providing healthcare and public health
education in low-income communities, and marshalling the resources of
major corporations and law firms to effect social change. Recognized for
its measurable results and strong operating principles, Teach For
America has served as a model for other nonprofits and has been the
subject of documentaries that have aired on PBS and CNN.

About This Position
The Campus Campaign Manager, in consultation with Teach For America
recruitment staff, will develop and execute a detailed strategic plan
aimed at inspiring top students to apply for the 2007 corps. The
average time commitment varies throughout the recruitment season and
Campus Campaign Managers determine their own schedule and hours given
other demands on their time and the deliverables of the project. We
have found that Campus Campaign Managers spend on average approximately
8 - 12 hours per week in this position throughout the academic year. In
this position, Campus Campaign Managers augment their professional
skills in networking, marketing strategies, and communication while
gaining an understanding of how a successful nonprofit organization
operates. Specific project requirements may include, but are not
limited to:

*	Identifying and reaching out to top students on campus,
including students of diverse backgrounds and majors;
*	Networking with professors and student organizations to secure
Teach For America presentations in classes and meetings;
*	Conducting Teach For America class and student organization
announcements;
*	Planning and executing high-impact visits for Teach For America
staff, corps members, and alumni who visit campus; includes scheduling
meetings, securing class announcements, marketing events, and arranging
logistics;
*	Executing a high-visibility publicity campaign to ensure Teach
For America maintains a strong presence on campus including hanging
posters and flyers; tabling in high-traffic areas; executing effective
e-mail campaigns; and securing media coverage in campus publications, on
websites, and on campus radio stations; and
*	Assuming responsibility for the success of the campaign on your
campus by preparing for and actively participating in weekly team
meetings with other Campus Campaign Managers and Teach For America staff
to continually assess progress toward ambitious application and
matriculation goals.

Qualifications
Applicants for the Campus Campaign Manager position must be
undergraduates during the 2006 - 2007 school year. The Campus Campaign
Manager must possess strong critical thinking skills and a record of
achievement in order to execute a campaign aimed at inspiring top
students to apply to Teach For America. A strong candidate also
exhibits high levels of initiative and responsibility.

Compensation
