Presently India does not have any Accreditation procedure for PR
professionals. Since, PR industry is in a take off stage in India,
many professionals feel that such Accreditation would enhance the credibility of the professinals.
Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), one of the leading apex PR bodies of the country has set up an Expert Sub Committee to go into this Accreditatin aspects and to finalise the procedures. Many senior and eminent PR professionals are included in this committees
I have been nominated by the PRCI to be the Chairman of Expert Sub Committee to suggest the procedures and methodlogies.
Since this would be a major milestone in the PR history of India, we seek your views in the following aspects :
1. Accreditation Experience in your country
2. What is the added value of Accreditation?
3. What is the procedure adopted?
4. Whether Accreditation is given for individuals or PR agencies or both?
5. How do you deal with seniors with more experience?
6. Any other useful information, websites, for the consideration of the sub committee.
On behalf of the Sub committee, I request our International friends to help us in framing the procedures.
I also request you to kindly forward this mail to your friends who can
give us more input. Please request them to send their views to my
personal id [log in to unmask]
Your early reply will be of great help to us.
