Grants Specialist
Siskin Children’s Institute
Siskin Children’s Institute is accepting applications for a new position as
Grants Specialist supporting the Development Department in soliciting and
securing federal, state and private funding to support fundraising
activities necessary to sustain and advance the Institute’s programs and
mission. This position is responsible for research and identification of
grant/foundation opportunities and works directly with staff in Programs,
Development and Administration in building grant proposals and
applications.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public
Relations, Business Administration or related field with at least 3 years
previous experience in grant writing / grant administration with strong
writing and research skills. Excellent project management skills with
ability to mange multiple tasks proficiently. Excellent interpersonal,
organizational, and oral communication skills are essential with
demonstrated success in acquiring grant/foundation funding. Proven project
management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks proficiently and
execute projects to successful completion. Proficient use of Microsoft
Word, Office 2000 and PowerPoint applications is necessary; strong
technology skills required. Experience with Raisers Edge software
preferred.

Founded in 1950, Siskin Children’s Institute is proud to be a leader in
serving children with special needs, their families and the professionals
who touch their lives. From its state-of-the art campus on Carter Street in
downtown Chattanooga, the Institute serves over 100 children with and
without special needs in the Siskin School and offers a dynamic array of
community outreach programs through the Siskin Training and Resource
Center.
