Job Opening: Communications Specialist at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store's
Home Office in Lebanon (commuting distance from Nashville).
This is an internal communications position, reporting to the Communications
Manager.
Annual Salary Range: $35,000.00 - 43,700.00
Position Description:
Communications Specialist researches, writes, edits, and shapes editorial
content of Old Country Stories, the Cracker Barrel employee newsletter. This
is a quarterly newsletter. It's a 16-page, 4-color pub.
The incumbent also plans, schedules and attends Monthly Employee Field
Forums. These are townhall style meeting that are held every month at
different locations around the country. The specialist will work with the
Communications Manager to schedule the events around the executives'
schedules, then work with the Travel Department to book hotel meeting rooms,
catering and the corporate jet. The specialist also attends the meeting,
takes notes, and publishes the minutes in the newsletter and home office
intranet.
Other duties include organizing, designing and producing PowerPoint
presentations for various corporate meetings and writing, editing, and
proofreading copy for print projects such as brochures, pamphlets and
posters.
Qualifications required:
5 years experience writing and editing
Bachelors Degree in Communications or equivalent combination of education
and experience
Preferred:
2-3 years experience producing a newsletter
