Need Strategic Communicator to Direct Communication For Human Resources

A vacancy on our employee communication team was created this week when our retention communications expert was recruited to McKesson. This opportunity for her created an opening for a director of HR communication.
This position reports to the Emory Healthcare assistant administrator and director of internal communication and is responsible for planning, design, production, implementation, evaluation and budgeting of employee-focused communications and marketing. These may deal with a variety of areas, including strategy, policy, programs, procedural.
The individual will:
develop and implement creative strategies for program branding and to
enhance awareness and utilization of “employee related” programs and services.
conceive, write/produce policy statements, speeches, newsletters, and executive presentations
write and edit material for publication/electronic distribution/program agendas.
The successful candidate will have excellent command of communication tools via print, video, verbal, event, web etc. The director for HR communications will also manage the budget for publication and/or production; provide direction to design and/or editorial, contract/vendor staff as required for communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, human resources, marketing, journalism or other related field. Five years of experience in communications, PR, marketing, or related field. Demonstrated superior writing and editing skills. Knowledge of publishing, software, printing and distribution processes. Proven ability to manage a variety of creative projects simultaneously, and work effectively with interdisciplinary, client groups. Management experience preferred.
