You know the Good News - Bad News challenges many of us face?
Well, we have one here at Emory Healthcare (EHC) and am hoping you can
be of assistance!
The Good News, for Jennifer Miller, employee communications manager, is
that she's got a terrific new job handling employee communication in
the McKesson communications group! After 4 years, Jennifer grew our EHC
employee comm job from 1 person (her) to 3 (with a long to-do list for
each)!
The Bad News is that as of this morning we have an open position! As
you know, when one person leaves, it's an ideal time to assess the
direction of the function and the needs for the future as it relates to
corporate strategies, culture, etc. We don't know the exact job title,
yet, but it will be a candidate with experience in a large, complex
climate (we have about 10,000 employees, several locations, and a myriad
of additional interrelationships that must be considered.)
At this point, the successful candidate for this position will have a
proven track record of employee communication experience...including
staff, budget and operational oversight. Individual will also have
demonstrated success in team consensus building, counsel to senior
management and employee communication as it relates to organizational
development/business strategy. Experience level will be at least 5
years (may be more), with at least a bachelor's degree in
communications, marketing, journalism or related discipline. The
individual will be familiar with the challenges and opportunities the HR
healthcare industry is now facing. Significant experience in a similar
role in an academic medical center would be preferable.
Please understand that the job is not yet posted - the experience
levels listed here are just the basics - and will be 'drilled down' to
specifics in the job posting - I'm just try to get a head start on
interested candidates! Please feel free to circulate this email to
others. Emory Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer.
Interested candidates may send their resume directly to me (yes, I know
I may regret such a wide distribution of my email address!!) No calls,
please.
Thanks and have a good night!
