Public Relations/Industry Analyst Consultant
General Requirements:
Reporting to the Vice President of Communications for Siemens Energy & Automation, the Media and Market Research Analyst Relations Consultant is responsible for the development and execution of publicity programs and market researcher relations for SE&A working closely with the following areas/departments: corporate and division management, segment communications, strategic planning, internal communications, human resources and legal. programs within and between units. Oversees other manager's programs. Provides marketing advice/leadership to various operational units ensuring overall marketing effectiveness is equal/better than competition. Leads development of marketing programs, channel, and pricing strategies ensuring profit growth/company expansion of products/services. Experience dealing with industry analyst a huge plus (e.g. AMR, ARC, Yankee, Gartner, Frost & Sullivan).
Specific Requirements:
Actively support communications efforts directed toward increasing Siemens' visibility with selected targeted trade press populations (horizontal and vertical).
Actively coordinate public relations activities for SE&A in the US market.
Review, approve and ensure successful implementation of division and corporate media relations and executive outreach programs.
Take a leadership role in the development and coordination of a speakers' bureau.
As appropriate, provide support and arranging interviews with key executives and knowledge experts.
Develop a comprehensive media relations program for SE&A that is integrated with individual segment communications plans.
Prepare an annual editorial calendar for all SE&A divisions.
Prepare an annual corporate public relations budget and work with segment communicators to develop divisional budgets.
With the V.P. of communications, handle crisis communications for SE&A (i.e. prepare holding statements on legal issues and other crisis situations).
Review and approval all press materials prior to distribution, obtaining necessary corporate approval when needed.
Schedule and ensure distribution of all press releases for SE&A in the United States.
Provide consultative services and tactical support for the company at trade shows, preparing/reviewing materials, etc. with journalists and market researchers.
Monitor internal and external business developments to identify connections between SE&A's divisional activities and industry trends.
Act as liaison between SE&A and PR at group in Germany.
Manage related PR services including outside agencies or other resources as required.
Actively manage all external vendors related to this position such as clip service, release distribution services, mailing house, etc. Evaluate services regularly ensuring optimum service is received.
Proactively manage relationships with key market research firms and analysts (e.g. AMR, ARC, Yankee, Gartner, Frost & Sullivan).
Act as central point of contact for market research firms and analysts.
Develop and implement annual "Analyst Day" and other key events as required, including the development of related presentation materials.
Represent SE&A at analyst events as needed.
Monitor SE&A's level of spending with market research analysts to ensure proper value for investment.
Work with internal business partners to develop and implement market research programs with analyst groups as needed.
