Several of you have asked me about the best way to get involved with PRSA at
the national level. Now is a good time to express your interest in serving on
a committee (the committees are listed in the front of the Blue Book, plus
there may be some other ones formed by the new board). Best way to get
involved is to let our Southeast District board representative, Gary
McCormick, know what you might like to do. You can e-mail him at
[log in to unmask] Or give him a call at 865-560-4143. Another good
way to get involved beyond the local chapter level is through the Southeast
District. Jo Andrews of Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Danville, VA, is this year's
chair. Contact her at [log in to unmask] We continue to try to find ways
to revitalize this district. Or, you can also get involved in a
special-interest section. These groups often have terrific PD opportunities
tailored specifically to what you do. Your PRSA membership is only worth what
you are willing to put into it on a local, district or national level.
