Please don't forget next week's "Presidential Communications: A Legacy
of Ideas." This program should appeal to everyone, particularly during
this election time. We strongly encourage you to send your students and
join us as your schedule permits. This is a joint effort of the Howard
Baker Center for Public Policy, the College of Communication and
Information and the School of Communication Studies. This program begins
at 12:30 p.m. on Wed., Sept. 15 in the Univ. Center Auditorium with a
welcome from Chancellor Loren Crabtree. Then speakers from the
Washington Post, former speechwriters for President Reagan and President
Johnson and archivists from the Franklin Roosevelt and Richard Nixon
libraries will present. It will end at 6:00 p.m. A complete schedule is
attached.
Students in Journalism, Political Science, History, Communications and
all those "Undecided" should definitely plan to attend. (It may open up
a whole new world of career options for them!)
We look forward to see you next Wednesday!
