PRSA Colleagues: I received some feedback last week that some of you think
the listserves are clogging your mailbox. I don't think two or three
messages per week at most can constitute a clog, and I would like to point
out that I've spoken with at least three people recently, mostly new
college graduates, who have found jobs in Atlanta through these postings.
If you aren't interested, please just delete. It seems to be a service many
people appreciate, particularly if you're out of work, as many PR people
are these days. Thanks for your understanding.

           PUBLIC RELATIONS SR. CONSULTANT

SCOPE OF POSITION - The Public Relations Consultant position
calls for an experienced individual to provide support to all
facets of Chick-fil-A's Public Relations and Media Relations
activities. This marketing communications role will provide
leadership and management for a variety of public relations
programs in support of the overall Chick-fil-A business at the
national, market and local levels. Ideally, with 10-15 years of
Public Relations and marketing communications experience, the
Public Relations Sr. Consultant will be required to be both a
"significant contributor" and a hands-on manager of multiple
projects. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a high
workload capacity to work both independently and in team
           settings.

Reporting to the Vice President of Public Relations, specific
responsibilities include leadership roles in managing projects
related to corporate and Restaurant Operator needs, new product
rollouts, crisis management, new restaurant PR support,
event/sponsorship support, spokesperson, and executive office
interface. The ability to communicate well, be highly organized
with the ability to achieve results through others are all
desired. Ability to coordinate/manage PR agencies support is
           essential.

           SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

           Chain-wide Promotions/National Campaigns - Provide PR/publicity
           support; coordination with Store Marketing Dept. and Ad Agency;
provide support on local restaurant level.

Eat Mor Chikin Cow Campaign - Generate media coverage/publicity
in support of this very popular ad campaign; support for
specific campaigns, i.e. "Cows On Tour;" publicize the
           Chick-fil-A Cow Calendar.

Corporate Media Relations/Executive Office - Proactive and
reactive media activities; Truett Cathy (founder) and WinShape
Foundation support; crisis and issues management.

New Restaurant Openings - Aggressive media/publicity support.

           Event/Sponsorship Support - PR/media relations activity for
Chick-fil-A's key sponsorship properties: Chick-fil-A Peach
Bowl, Chick-fil-A Charity Championship, College Conferences -
ACC, SEC, Big 12 and other events.

PR Agency/PR Consultants - Leadership and management of multiple
PR agencies and consultants; interface and coordination with
affiliated PR relationships of key sponsorship properties.

Technology Enhancements for PR Support - Innovate programs to
better utilize electronic technologies for PR/media support.

           COMPANY/PR DEPARTMENT BACKGROUND - Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A,
           Inc., the nation's second-largest quick-service chicken
restaurant chain (based on sales), currently has more than 1,125
locations in 37 states and D.C., and generated its 36 th year of
consecutive sales gains in 2003 with system-wide sales of $1.534
billion. The Chick-fil-A business is an aggressive user of PR
and media relations functions. We think of PR "as a powerful,
cost-effective sales support tool for the Chick-fil-A business
and its system of Restaurant Operators."

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE - Proven track record of public relations
expertise with 10-15 years of experience; strong leadership
capabilities with interests in a long-term public relations
track; ability to produce individually and to work in an
effective team environment; strong creative self-starter with
communication skills to sell ideas; ability to handle multiple
projects and ability to adjust priorities relative to corporate
           or circumstantial changes; willing to travel up to 30-plus %;
Microsoft Office and database management experience.
