Golden Key Meeting September 9, 2003
For all of you who missed this Tuesday’s meeting here's some of the topics we
went over.
Yvette McDaniel from the Educational Advancement Program came and spoke about
becoming a tutor there. It is a great way to help others out and make a
little money as well.
Race for the Cure is coming up and Golden Key has a team going. We would like
for as many people to join as possible. Priority online registeration ends
Tuesday night (Sept. 9). You can still register to be on the team, though, on
the day of the race. We will be meeting Saturday morning (Sept. 20) at 8:30
under the giant basketball near where the race is being held. Even if your
not on the team, come and join us for the race.
We will also be trying to get in shape for this event. Join us at the new
T-Recs sports center track. For more information contact Stuart Griswold

The Student Activities Fair is coming up this Thursday. We will have a booth
out on the Plaza from 10-2. Come and stop by to find out more about Golden
Key and some of the important events that we do.
Tutoring for Green School is coming up. This is a great program that we have
going throughout the semester. Come with us and tutor elementary school kids
after school. If you are interested in becoming a tutor or have any questions
contact David Deane [log in to unmask]
We are starting a social committee to help plan out fun events for the
semester. If you are creative or just like to have fun contact Stuart
Griswold to find out how to join this committee [log in to unmask]
We have a new position for anyone who would like to join the Golden Key Board.
We need a Sister Chapter Liaison. If you know how to e-mail than you could
make a great Sister Chapter Liaison. This position entails sending out around
four e-mails a month to other Chapters around the world to find out what
events they are doing. If interested, contact Mason Jones [log in to unmask] or
Crystal Gilreath [log in to unmask]
We are once again gathering pop-tops for the Ronald McDonald house. This year
is a little different though as we are competing against all the other regions
in the world to see who can gather the most pop-tops, so save those tops and
turn them in at meeting or to any board member.
Don’t forget to attend the Job Fair next Wednesday, September 17 which Golden
Key is helping to co-sponsoring.
Thanks,
Jennifer Clark, Recording Secretary
