TWO TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITIONS
AND ONE LECTURER POSITION
IN ADVERTISING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS PROGRAM
AVAILABLE FOR FALL 2003
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE
Advertising and Public Relations Program seeks to fill two Assistant
Professor tenure-track positions to begin August 1, 2003, or thereafter.
One position is for a person to teach introductory public relations course
and courses in one or more of the following areas: communications research,
public relations writing, public relations cases, or public relations
campaigns. Publish research and perform service assignments. Ph.D. in
Communications or related field preferred. Evidence or promise of research
productivity. Professional public relations experience and university
teaching desirable.
The second position is for a person to teach visual communication courses
within a persuasive environment to advertising and public relations students
and courses in one or more of the following areas: graphics communication
for print journalism, advertising creative strategy, or advertising
campaigns. Publish research or engage in creative activity and perform
service assignments. Ph.D. in Communications or related field preferred.
Evidence or promise of research productivity. Applicants with a master's
degree in Communication or a related field and with extensive industry
experience or university teaching experience will be considered.
Professional advertising experience and university teaching experience are
desirable.
