Hey all Green School tutors! I know this is long, but it is VERY
important. Please read all of it.
Thank you to all who signed up and are ready and willing to start tutoring
on Monday. Based on the sign-up sheets, I’ve decided to make the tutoring
days Mondays and Tuesdays from 3-4, because those days are easier for a lot
of people. So based on those sheets, I’ve made a list of who is going next
week. Please keep in mind that this is not a huge commitment. Whatever
time you can give is absolutely wonderful and helpful.
Monday:
Bryant
Byrd*
Jennifer
Clark
David Deane**
Elizabeth Fleming (& Joseph)
Melanie Gnass
Tuesday:
Kirsten
Lounsbury**
Leslie Shaffer*
Jason French*
Trisha Cooper**
Wednesday:
Emily Tsang*
Elisa Sugar*
Friday:
Lahla Deakins*
On the lists above, the single asterisks indicate which people do NOT need
a ride to the school. The double asterisks indicate which people are able
and willing to give a ride. If anything changes or if part of this list is
wrong, please email me.
This coming Monday, January 27, we will meet in Circle Park at 2:30. It is
very important that you do your best to arrive on time. When we get to
Green School, it’s important to note that nobody will be able to greet
you. There is the main office on your right, where we will sign in and
someone will direct us to the classroom that we need to be in. I will be
there with you all; I’m just giving a heads-up.
Those of you who indicated that you did NOT need a ride are welcome to meet
us at Circle Park and follow us. If you are unable to, which is fine,
directions are on our website: http://web.utk.edu/~gknhs/direct.htm, and
scroll down to Green Magnet School.
***********************************************************************
As far as carpools go, I believe the Tuesday people are fine. The four of
you indicated that you didn’t need a ride and Kirsten and Trisha indicated
that they could give a ride. You all could go in one or two cars if you
want. If any Tuesday people are worried about how to get to the school,
and the directions are confusing, please feel free to come along on Monday
with us.
As far as the Monday people are concerned, Bryant is the only one who
indicated that he didn’t need a ride. David, if you could email me if you
are willing to give a ride for the rest of us, it would greatly be
appreciated. As for the rest of you, please meet in Circle Park and we’ll
leave from there.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at [log in to unmask]
Again, thanks to all of you. I guarantee that this will be one of the most
rewarding experiences of your life, because you’re making a difference in
someone else’s. Trust me, the kids will know and remember you from the
first day you walk in there.
Thanks again and do not hesistate to contact me!
Have a great weekend and see you on Monday!
Sincerely,
Melanie K. Gnass
