EARLY HOLIDAY GREETINGS GKers!!

WHAT THE FANTASY OF TREES IS:
this is the first email concerning the fantasy of trees coming up in nov.
as you may or may not know the fantasy of trees is a fundraiser for
Children's Hospital. basically what happens is every year area
organizations come together and sponsor a tree, a wreath, or even a room
scene. that organization is responsible for donating the lights/ornaments
and such and for also decorating the tree. on the gala evening/opening
night of the fantasy of trees, all of the trees are arranged and the well
to do ladies/gentlemen/businesses bid on the trees. highest bi! d of course
receives the tree and all procedes go to Children's Hospital. all trees and
scenes are available for viewing by the public for the entire week in the
new convention center. at the end of the week the purchased trees are
delivered to their respective new owners decorations and all.

WHAT WE DO:
this is the first time that golden key has endeavored such a benefit, and
we hope that your interest and generosity will set the precedent for years
to come!! we need every bit of help that we can get!!!!! coming up on nov
12th and nov 13th at the general membership mtg everyone is asked to come
and help make the decorations that will be on our tree. several christmas
type stores have told us that a good rule of thumb is that for every foot
of tree we need 1 string of lights. we also need 6 different types of
ornaments and a dozen of each. lastly, we need a tree skirt and power
strip. Children's hospital supplies ! ;the 7' tree for us to decorate. our
tree theme is "WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR," and our primary color is silver.

SO FAR WHAT WE HAVE:
1 tree topper
2 different types of ornaments (dozen e/)
1 tree skirt
silver glitter
big star sequins
fishing line
scissors
hot glue gun

WHAT WE NEED:
4 ideas and supplies for different ornaments
silver spray paint
silver/sparkly holographic glitter
glue
8 boxes of new WHITE mini lights
     (must be 15watt rated and such that if one light burns out the others
will not)
silver star things
hot glue

FINALLY:
we will be getting together at the general membership meetings on nov 12th
and the 13th to make our awesome decorations. once we have everything
together we take our things to the new convention center on nov 23rd
(saturday). the tree will be ready and waiting for us there.
we would REALLY APPRECIATE! it if each member hoping to attend would bring
1 item from our need list to the decorating party. as a reward to all of
you who help we will have free admission tickets to the FOT show. the
number of lickets is limited so those 10 of you who put in the greatest
amount of energy are guaranteed one. i believe we may recieve a couple
extra tickets but 10 i am certain of.
