The NCTR is located in Jefferson, Arkansas (between Little Rock and Pine
Bluff), part of the FDA's Jefferson Laboratories campus. The NCTR mission
is to conduct peer-reviewed scientific research that supports the FDA's
current and future regulatory needs.
The Center employs approximately 600 personnel, a combination of federal,
contract, and support staff. Co-located with NCTR is the Arkansas Regional
Laboratory; and, together, they comprise the Jefferson Laboratories, which
consists of 33 buildings and 504 acres of land, adjacent to the Pine Bluff
Arsenal.
